Thank You Notes
From the moment you get engaged until you are back from your honeymoon, there will be many reasons to write thank you notes to everyone. Nothing says “Thank You”, like a hand written thank you note for anything from a gift, to just a thank you to say, “thanks for calling” or thank you for being my friend! Try to stay away from using email, phone calls and text messages for the special thanks to everyone.
Wedding Pashmina's For Your Bridesmaids
With the onset of winter arriving this week in Chicago, your lovely ladies may need a little pashmina wrap to keep them warm on your wedding day. I recently found this GREAT website for Pashminas that you can search for colors that match of complement your bridesmaids dresses. They are offered in cashmere and viscose ranging in price from $18 to $40 and is a great present (and also useful) for your bridesmaids!
They also offer white and white pashminas which will match your dress and can be used for a little added warmth while you exit your limousine!

Seating Scrolls
I love the use of seating scrolls in lieu of placecards for wedding guests to let them know where they are seated. Here is one we did for Lena and Chris’s reception at the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, May 11th. Baltic Studios took a picture of the Newberry Library’s arches on the front of the building and recreated it on the bottom of the seating scroll.
Picking The Entertainment For Your Wedding
Decide if you and your fiancé want a band or DJ and what fits in your budget. Typically, DJ’s are more affordable than bands. And remember the more people in the band, the higher the cost. If you want live music but can’t afford a full band for three hours you may want to consider doing live music during cocktails and dinner and then DJ music for the dancing portion of the evening.
