Chicago Wedding Planning Ali Phillips

Thanksgiving in Chicago

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays of the year. I love to cook and will be cooking for about twelve people on Thursday. But is wedding planning keeping you so busy that you don’t want to cook? No worries, Chicago has some great options if you want to eat out.

Thanksgiving at The Peninsula is a luxurious way to get out of the house and the kitchen. They are taking three seatings from 10:30am to 6:30pm. Enjoy a jazz trio and the lights from Michigan Avenue while feating on Gunthrop Farm Turkey and Chestnut Sage Stuffing. Call 312-573-6685 for your reservation.

Four Seasons Chicago Brunch Buffet in the Seasons Restaurant. It runs from 12pm-6:30pm with staggered seating. 312-649-2349 for reservations.

For a more casual route try the following:

Chief O’Neill’s Pub is doing what sounds like a delicious four course menu (special menu for the kids) and has seatings at 2:30pm, 3:30pm, 4:45pm, 6pm and 7pm. Call 773-IRE-LAND for reservations.

Are you a vegetarian? Check out Victory Banner’s all vegetarian four course Thanksgiving Dinner. Seatings at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm. Call 773-665-0227 for your reservation.

Don’t want to get all gussied up and go out? How about picking up a turkey?

Whole Foods on Halsted you can order ahead a turkey all cooked and ready to go with sides and hit the salad bar. They are open on Thanksgiving from 7am-4pm for all your last minute needs.

And call Naomi Levine at Tipsy Cake Chicago! She said she is happy to take any last minute orders for a yummy cake or some pies! 773-384-4418 is the number to call. And by the way, she makes AMAZINGLY delicious wedding cakes as well! Check out her pie menu for Thanksgiving, YUM!!! I especially like her Turkey Cake which is just too cute!
