Wedding planner, world traveler, lover of joy, and searcher of the perfect sunset.
My name is Ali Phillips and I am the President and owner of Engaging Events by Ali. For more than 20 years, I’ve used my love of celebrations and love of people to help couples plan their weddings and other special events.
I bring my kindness, honesty, passion for logistically detailed events, and proactive approach to all of my events, making the wedding planning experience both seamless and enjoyable for my clients. And I love that we get to have fun along the way!

Giving Back
I give back by mentoring aspiring event professionals, speaking at many college campuses and conferences, and by volunteering my time and donating a percentage of my proceeds with a trio of charities close to my heart.
A nonprofit organization that grants weddings and vow renewals for couples facing serious illness or life-altering circumstance. I served on the National Board of Directors for 6 years and was also the founding President of the Chicago Chapter.
The Confetti Foundation supplies birthday parties to children who must spend their birthday in the hospital. I am on the Advisory board of this amazing organization.
Step Up is a national, nonprofit membership organization dedicated to connecting and advancing women and underserved teen girls. It focuses on empowering females to become confident, college-bound, career-focused, and ready to join the next generation of professional women. I am a Luminary Member.
