I was in the bride and bridesmaid’s designated ‘primping’ room the other morning when the girls realized something was missing. Music. “Do you have any?” they asked. Out came my Ipod and we plugged it into the hotel’s docking station.
I love the idea of music in the bride’s suite the morning of. It is a fun and exciting time with your closest friends and music definitely completes the mood. However, it’s a small detail you are likely not to think about until the time comes. Consider asking one of your bridesmaids or your maid of honor to prepare a play list of fun songs beforehand, or make one yourself. An Ipod works great for this and you can make a “wedding day getting ready” playlist.
As for song, select ones that remind you of fun times together (think back to those crazy college nights) or you can never go wrong with a few of my favorites:
“Going to the Chapel” by the Dixie Cups (this one is almost a must)
“You’re the One That I Want” from Grease
”I Say A Little Pray For You” by Aretha Franklin or Glee just recently redid it.
“I’ve Got a Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas
”Today was a fairytale” by Taylor Swift
“Where Them Girls At” by David Guetta
”Wishing and Hoping” from My Best Friends Wedding Soundtrack
”Marry You” by Bruno Mars
Now pop open the bubbly, sing as loud as you want, and bask in your ultimate girl time.
Thanks to Becky Hill for the great picture
