Hot Chicago Reception Locations

Finding a good wedding reception site is one of the biggest tasks for couples all over the world. The site sets the tone for the wedding so couples usually take a good amount of time making the decision. Here are some fun and different locations I have recently visited.
h3. A New Leaf 1820 North Wells Street Rochelle Strate-Hootman 312-642-8553 “Website”:http://www.1820northwells.com Weekend rental is $3500 Tucked inside a beautiful flower shop in Old Town on Wells Street is a great “lofty” and urban location. On a nice day you can enjoy their landscaped garden for cocktails or even a smaller ceremony. You can bring in any caterer, as long as they have a city of Chicago liquor license! A New Leaf can accommodate a seated dinner for up to 80 or a cocktail reception for 150 people. h3. Architectural Artifacts 4325 N Ravenswood Jennifer Newbury 773-348-0622 “Website”:http://www.architecturalartifacts.com Weekend rental is $4200 Architectural Artifacts is an elegant and modern location for your wedding. The space includes a gorgeous garden with 25-foot columns, archways, marble urns and seasonal green foliage. The site is a blank canvas and could become the hippest city chic event or the most romantic wedding aglow with candlelight! Offering just over 80,000 square feet, no wedding or event is too big for this location. To top it off, Architectural Artifacts has free parking for your guests. h3. CHI Healing Center 1733 North Milwaukee Avenue Eric Doctors 773-278-8494 “Website”:http://www.createhealinspire.com What a wonderful and relaxing location. I went to the CHI Healing Center on my birthday, so I treated myself to a hot stone massage. From the moment I walked in the door I felt at peace and at ease. This would be an adorable spot for a small wedding, a bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or even a fun spa day with your girlfriends. CHI Healing Center rents out the lobby and a larger room for special events. The space is bursting with color and would be perfect for an urban bride with a strong sense of style. I LOVED this location and can’t wait to recommend it to a bride or even a bridesmaid as a shower location. h3. Cortelyou Commons of DePaul University 2324 N. Fremont Ave Theresa Kleptach 773-325-7408 Weekend rental is $2000 This is the best-kept little secret in Chicago. Located in the historic area of DePaul University’s Lincoln Park campus lies the ornately designed Cortelyou Commons. This building is set in a courtyard surrounded by gorgeous, old homes built around the turn of the century. DePaul Catering is the exclusive catering provider for DePaul University. As a custom caterer, they are able to offer a wedding package for any size budget! They are “refining the art of catering” and producing wonderful wedding events in the process. h3. Maxim‘s Chicago: The Nancy Goldberg International Center 24 East Goethe Allen Nichols 312-742-1748 “Website”:http://www.cityofchicago.org These rooms remind me of a Parisian restaurant tucked away in the Champs Elysee. Maxim’s Chicago is located in the Gold Coast and offers great red banquettes for dining along side a beautiful mahogany bar. I could just envision myself enjoying a glass of red wine and listening to a jazz singer croon away as I toasted the bride and groom. This location is spectacular for an intimate city event! h3. Salvatore‘s Ristorante 525 West Arlington Place 773-528-1200 “Website”:http://www.salvatores-chicago.com Three gorgeous rooms create this magical space reminiscent of an Italian Countryside Estate. The covered patio allows guests to mingle outside, even in inclement weather. With a baby grand piano on top of its black and white floor, the foyer welcomes your guests to a different time and place. The space can accommodate up to 225 guests for a seated event. I loved this place so much that two years ago my husband and I chose Salvatore’s as our own wedding reception location. The food is superb, reminding me of a weekend I spent in Tuscany two years ago.
